Our Stay

As you know..or may have known Brad and I have been married a year! Can you believe it!??! So for our second honeymoon we went to VEGAS!! woot woot!

We stayed in a 4 and 1/2 star hotel, Planet Hollywood Westgate Towers.

Why can't they just be 5 stars!!! I dunno!!!??!!?!?

See this is what they advertise. The Westgate Towers...well its all fine and dandy except...
Its really only one tower!?

We were so confused. The entire time we spent looking for that other tower.
My favorite part was the pool. I loved it oh so much.
See the lighter blue area, ya that part is only 9 inches. So you can get toasty while you are cooling off. Brilliant.
I loved that part.
Loved it. Who thought of that? Genius.
So and the pool chairs were lovely, sort of like a weaved plastic, so they dont get too hot and they aren't those annoying strips of plastic that your one boob will fall through, and your trying to re-situate it. Ya, you know what I'm talking about

Actually my boob didn't get stuck in there, but yet my bun. It kept going in between the two strips, then I would try to move and my hair would just be stuck in there. My hair bun, not my butt bun. That was at the first pool we went to at planet hollywood before we found the weaved plastic chairs.
So, pool was amazing.

Another amazing thing was that there was a full on MALL underneath us...yes, a mall.

I shopped at Gap, Victoria's Secret, H&M, and many other places. In total I think I spent 36.00! Ha, I'm a high roller.

We went to eat at Pampa's, and PF Changs twice.

We loved happy hour at PF Changs.

And our first day there my fortune cookie read,
"Tomorrow you will be in for a pleasant surprise."

Then our next day at PF Changs, we got free lettuce wraps!! My favorite things at PF Changs!!!

So that was my pleasant surprise.

First we went swimming at the Planet Hollywood Hotel Pool, see we stayed at the Westgate Towers, which are a nicer version of Planet Hollywood. Anyway, we went swimming at the normal swimming pool thinking it would be wonderful.

Well it was called the pleasure pool...

The one side was 18 and up, and the other side was everybody else.
And it was packed!!!

We didn't even venture into the pleasure pool 18 and up, who knows what went on there, and most likely they would think we were too young anyway.

We got asked how old we were 4 times.

Twice because I ventured off the designated area for below 21 and they came and made sure I was 21. We are married 18 year olds, escaping our parents in Vegas!!!!!
No, we are old, Brad is 23 going on looking 14 and I am 21, almost 22, a college graduate!!
So, that was our pleasure pool experience, then we went over to the nicer pool that was our pool at the westgate towers. There we felt loved and comfy. In the nice weaved plastic chairs.

Not to mention the highlight of our trip.

See she was doing the peep show there at Planet Hollywood. And she lives there too.

We felt honored to be sharing a hotel with a stripper.

We didn't actually go to the peepshow, but since they display clips of it on the millions of tvs everywhere we go, we felt like we had seen it 18 times by the time we were done. I would post the ad on here that was bigger than our hotel, but it is a little scandalous. So just search Holly Madison and you will get the ad for the peep show.

This is all I have for you today, tomorrow I will divulge into the meat of our trip.

It's so relieving to me. So relieving. I am done. I took my last final yesterday. I work my last shift on July Second. Scary. But awesome. I had to take classes so I could work longer, and it actually was a great decision, otherwise I would have had to paint my house to stay busy.

Brad got a 4.0. Of course. I remember when we were first dating and he had transferred to BYU from UVU, so he could have a better chance of getting into medical school. He got a 60 something on his test, and he was so upset!! I said, "Welcome to BYU baby!!" He then realized that he could still get an A due to assignments everyday and extra credit and curving. Something he had never experienced before.

So next week is our sister's bball tournament in the Utah Summer Games. We are getting shirts, and our only fans will be our spouses.
So now that I don't have homework every day, a test every week and junk like that I can clean the house. So today while Brad got up to watch the US Slovenia game (where they got totally robbed) I slept in till 10, then we visited Kneaders for all you can eat french toast, since its just down the road, to celebrate our complete doneness with school. Then I cleaned, and cleaned and cleaned.

It's nice to clean because my house had been....well neglected. Deep cleaning too, not just surface cleaning, you know that you do when you have no time. Wipe it down quick cuz we have no time! Nope I got to get on my hands and knees and scrub that floor.

So I'm going to help Tosha in her make up show tomorrow. Since I found my charger, I can take pictures :).
And I'm tutoring! I love doing it! Its fun, I'm finally doing what I love and I get paid for it. I am looking for a few more students though in order to have like 5 hours a day of work. Anyway, its fun to see the changes in my life, but at the same time its hard. Its hard because I have been a student my entire life. Now I am moving up, to a teacher. Do you realize what a transition that is? Student to Teacher. Crazy.

Well, Brad is doing research now and he LOVES it. He feels like he is finally doing what he loves. He cuts mice open, finds their uterus, finds their embryos...then checks em out, looks at him and a bunch of other scientific stuff that he told me but I don't know how to even begin to explain it all. But its cool and he loves it.
But he is usually the one sitting on the couch wishing I was home while I'm at work. But now...that's me waiting for him to come home from his lab. He says he is the only one who isn't a nerd. Hate to break it to you are a nerd.

So life is rolling and going well. I feel accomplished. I feel complete. Now imagine what I will feel when Brad is done with medical school...crazy awesome.

I thought I would leave you with Faith.

She was just a baby here. And I got her that car seat for her birth day. Her real birth day!

Now she has turned 3!! Holy smokes Faith, you are adorable.
She is holding my newest niece Gemma.

Strange things are happenin to me...

So so so so so so so sosososooooo much has happened.

If you didn't know, I am working at BYU info for my last weeks. And in order to do that I had to take one class I needed to graduate, so in order to get a grant to pay for school I had to take full credits. So I am taking golf, basketball, marriage class, and STATS.

That's right Stats.

So tomorrow is finals. And I haven't studied one bit. But how could I, it was a beautiful day until it started storming like crazy right when I got to work.
Today was reading day. And I did everything but... I started tutoring these two boys, so cute and so smart. So thats what I did today, then Brad got home and we fell asleep till four! Then I went grocery shopping since I hadn't gone in two weeks. Gross I know, I was resorting to eating oatmeal for every meal, but hey it was fun to see how long we could eat canned foods with no milk or bread.
Oh the bottom of my backbone just popped. I love it when that happens. Feels like my tail bone popped.
So, my friend Chelsea graduated from NURSING SCHOOL! Yahoo for Chels! She is Brad's sister PS.
I captured some real dandys of her.

I captured a dandy of him too.
Did you know Brad has freckles on his lips? He does. I hope none of you knew that, that would mean you were too close to him. I am the only one who gets to be that close.

Wow it really is pouring right now.
So she did it, if you need a nurse, she is it. She passed all her tests and we are so proud of her.
And then we went to my friend Abbey's reception.
She was beautiful. And in the background is a groomsmen cake of a rock climbing wall. Adorable.
My dear friend Gen has a cute boy. I took a glamor shot of them in front of the sunset and golf course.

Then we had a wedding. Oh how we love weddings. Brad has participated in three since he met me. Ours, Brooke's, and now Landon's!
Halle. She loves yellow, sidewalks and long walks on beaches.
Holy Smokeronies!!! All my nieces except my sister Faith on the very far left. Faith could never be left out!
Maddie holding Gemma (my newest niece and Summer's first baby), Remi, Molly, Sophie, Halle and screaming Ashtyn!

Oh did you want to see the Bride and Groom?? Oh okay fine.
Tiera's dress was beautiful as was she. Landon you looked okay your self.
Look Sally, my shirt looks white here!! I look like a stoned drug head.
Brad and I make such an adorable, lovely, stunning, eternal couple. And do you know what?
We are married a year on the 27th! Of June! I'll talk about that later gator.
So above we have the bride and groom and all my sisters. And my creme shirt. Boy did I get in trouble for my cream shirt. And below we have just all my sisters!
Did a gross color blind person wrap Brad's bday presents!!!!! Yes yes she did! I did!!! In the morning of Brad's birthday. Because if I would have unhid them before his birthday he would have had all of them guessed in the beginning!
I made him open them right when he woke up, because lucky me..I had to go to a Stats review.
This was his moving face when he saw my main present to him.
An Ipod touch!
He obviously was surprised.
And his got he loves his new touch. Especially when I told him two days after he got it that it had wifi. He had no idea of its capabilities.
I made him an ice cream cake. Yep thats the cake in all its ugliness.
But it was super good. It had mint ice cream with chocolate cream cheese frosting and a crunchy layer in the middle of it consisting of chocolate syrup and oreos!

Our backyard is full of possibilities. That's Zane Curtis in the grass coffin. Ya, you wouldn't know it but he is the mayor's son.
We made mini pizzas and then cooked them. My favorite pizza is cheese and onions. Yummers.
I missed half of Brad's friends. But these are the true friends, the ones that stay the longest. Jk, Luke and Aj didn't have a ride :) But any girls that see this photo and want to hook up with Luke (far right) and Aj Second from the left. Give me a holler. Oh and Kevin, he isn't available. He is married.

So, that's my strange things are happening to me post.

Hope you love it, and can feel the love from Brad and I to you!
