Meet my siblings Day 2: Meet Lad

Remember how I am doing a montage of my siblings??
Well Lad is next. Number 15. Lad was named Matthew Lad, and I still call him that....and it is fun to tell people his name is Lad.

Its weird maybe a little, but it fits the little chap just perfectly.
Ever since he was little he was such a hard worker. I remember him working with Landon all the time.
He would be following him along without saying one complaint but just doing what he was told.
He is quiet and kind, but has a temper of some sort.
See his previous SIBLING post HERE.
I was so surprised by him after bringing Miles home for Christmas.
He loved him. Truly truly loved him.
He would always want to hold him and play with him. He would go check on him for me over and over again while he was sleeping.
He also would run up 3 floors just to go get me his Sophie the Giraffe, or his blanket, or a diaper.
Truly a gem little Lad.
Its sad to me that I am not around my siblings to watch them grow up, but Lad is obviously number 15, so he is the bottom of the patch, meaning he is the littlest boy, which means he probably gets left out a little, and he probably has to fend for himself a lot.
My favorite part of Christmas break is when we were all playing Uno (like 13 of us) and I laid a draw 4 on him, and he couldn't handle it, it was too much, he put his head down and started to cry. Brad tried to console him and Landon drug his head up and said, "Toughen up."
Then it started happening on anything, when he got skipped or sometimes he would get a draw 16 after they all piled up. He was just in and out of tears that entire card playing experience. (Ian as well-number 14)
Finally Tanner (number 4) said, "These two just can't handle any type of defeat, they are too tired."
So then Sally (number 8) (maybe Echo (number 10) I can't remember) said, "You guys just need to go to bed." And they both ran out of the room crying going different ways.
Clearly they were gamed out.
He is a passionate little boy and loves kids, loves legos, and loves his family.
He is a hard worker and good at taking care of things.
My prediction is that he will be successful in life.
My mom says he will get home from school (ever since he was in Kindergarten) and get his homework right out the minute he walks off the bus and starts working on it. Then finishes it and puts it right back in his backpack. Oh I love him. He was my little sweetie baby. My Miles reminds me of Lad when he was a baby. Chunky and sweet.
Love him.
Lad Sibling Number 15.

Smells like...

Home.

It was so nice to get away. Get some old school (that means from my old school) football and friends to visit.

They lost, but Shad played great....
and Ethan stood so good on the sidelines (he is a freshman so doesn't play much on Varsity, but he is the QB for JV, and Shad is the center.)

Lad lost some teeth. Brad asked him how he was eating an apple. He said, "On the side." Then he calmly continued to chew his apple on the side of his mouth. Totally normal for teeth losing peoples.
Hannah came up for her 10th year! HOly Smokes! My five year is next year. Its crazy to think that I am so old, but yet Hannah is older and still feels like she is young.

Halle learned the ways of relaxing in Standrod quite quickly. She didn't mess around.

I said, "Hey Brad let's go check out the garden."
He said, "Okay."
Then we lost each other.
I found some bunnies in the carrots.
The carrot rows were bigger than my house. Actually three of my houses.
My dad picked me an entire huge box of carrots, and I said, "Well I didn't want a whole row."
Then he said, "Does it look like I gave you a whole row?"
And I said, "No it looks like you did not pick any from this mass of carrots."
Faith lost her bag of M and Ms like eight times in this garden.
I also watched our kitty catch a mouse and eat it alive.
Gross.
We left home with our tires saggin due to the weight of veggies.

If you are in need of anything in this category....
squash
zucchini
carrots
cabbage bigger than your body
tomatoes
potatoes
broccoli
peppers of many kind
garlic chives
and other random things that you may need...
let me know I will give them to you for free. In any quantity.
Life size cabbages

Brad found himself here.
Bikes, fourwheelers, puppies, horses, and unlimited steak and scones.

His true home.
Only if we could make a living there. Apparently Standrod has no plans for a med school.
Stupid I think.

Teaching is going well. Sometimes I wish I was superwoman, but I'm not so I have to go home not having everything done that I wanted to. I'm about ready to hire my own aid so that I can do everything that I want to. But, I'll figure it out and I am so happy doing it!

Brad is doing well in school. He is shadowing a surgeon, which he loves, volunteering at a clinic, going to school full time, and working part time. Also, somehow he manages to play his guitar non-stop and practice the song he wrote me for my birthday. I love him to death. But you all know that, and I get annoyed when wives tell their blog readers they love their husband ninety million times a day. You know that duh! And if you are single its just like I rub it in your face even more.
But I do love him to death. Today he said to me, "Brit, I love you."
I said, "Yep, I know."
He said, "No really, you are everything to me."
I said, "Yep I know, love u too baby face lover cake."
I wish I was always that confident about stuff....maybe its just today.

OH! He is playin my song right now. I love it. Someday he will let me record him singing it, but probably never.
"So let's lay in bed all day long, maybe I'll write you another song."
Just trying to give you a piece of it's literary genius.

Lad

Well as you all probably are aware, I have a brother named Lad. He is quite cute, with such a great attitude :) He comes home from school and gets right to his homework, he is up before my parents and is never late for the bus. He also loves Bradley Clark to death. He is always right next to his side. But Mr. Lad is soft hearted, but aren't we all? During the longest Phase 10 game of my life, Lad and Brad were playing 'shoot each other' with the nerf gun.

Lad was shooting at Brad and missed, and hit Landon right in the eye.

Brad immediately burst into an outburst of bursting laughter.

Landon yelled, "Gosh Lad you hit me right in the eye, OUCH!"

Lad got that look on his face, and said holding back tears, "I did....didn't mean to." Then he burst into tears and buried his face in the couch.

Brad still laughing, because he thought it was a great shot.

Landon grabbed Lad and held him while he cried, assuring him that it was ok.

Brad still laughing.

Brad thinking Lad had a great shot all the while.

So Lad has a soft little heart.

But as you may all NOT know...Brad and I chose Lad in a random drawing I had at work. My co-worker picked the names and I wrote them down.

We got Lad....well watch the video :)
And Happy New Year's Eve Eve!
